Gameday 36: Pirates start three game series against Angels
After defeating Rockies over the weekend, the Pirates start a three game series against the Angels
The offense finally showed some signs of life, scoring five runs for the first time in over the week. It was also their first outright series win against any opponent since their home opener against the Baltimore Orioles.
Oneil Cruz delivered a two-run go-ahead home run, and David Bednar closed the door as the Pirates defeated the Colorado Rockies 5-3, winning the series 2-1.
Now their attention will turn to the Los Angeles Angels, who will have a familiar face on the mound on Monday. Tyler Anderson pitched for the Pirates in 2021 before getting traded to the Seattle Mariners at the Trade Deadline.
Mitch Keller will be on the mound for the Pirates, with an expected start time of 6:40 pm ET.

Good timing for Olivares. This is his role on the team, if he's going to have one -- face a tough LHP.
Moniak, Tucker, Calhoun -- LAA is like the island of lost prospects.
