Gameday 49: Pirates begin home series against San Francisco Giants
Martin Perez on the mound for the Pirates
The Pittsburgh Pirates closed out their road trip in style, taking three of four against the Chicago Cubs.
After an off day on Monday, the team returns home to start a three-game midweek series against the San Francisco Giants.
Martin Perez will be on the mound for the home team, looking to put his last start behind him where he got bombed by the Milwaukee Brewers.
He will be opposed by Giants’ right-hander Logan Webb. Wednesday should be an interesting contest, as Jared Jones and Blake Snell are the projected starters, with Paul Skenes currently in line to start the series finale on Thursday.
The Pirates will have a new(ish) face in the locker room starting Tuesday, as Ji-Hwan Bae was promoted from Indianapolis.
