Of note, Snitker walks Morel with ghost runner Bellinger on 2nd in the 10th inning in a tie game. If only Shelton did the same on Saturday, we might be on a 5-game winning streak. He's going to be a -6 WAR manager no matter how you analyze it.
Not relevant to the managerial decision to Intentionally walk Morel, whose run is meaningless and to set up a force at 3rd and 2nd. Snitker then pitched to Happ whereas Shelton had Taughman on deck.
Shelton was quoted in the PG the other day as saying in-game and lineup decisions are his.
The decision that irked me more than not walking Morel was that he didn't pinch hit Cruz for Williams when Inamaga was replaced with a RHP. I was reminded of how illogical that was last night. Or maybe there was a logical reason, but the press rarely asks Shelton tough questions and when they do, he doesn't give a straightforward answer anyway.
Shelton has his good qualities too, though, and my bigger concern is with the FO.
5 unearned runs allowed by two young SS. It's a critical position. That one was handed to us, and we'll take it considering how many games we've handed to opponents.
That too. When I say bad break and light yogging, I meant Suwinski. Cruz definitely got there and then definitely looked up into the sun. That ball had an xBA of .010 lol
Grandal exits with a groin injury. Would’ve liked to see Davis’ bat cook a little longer in AAA, but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Would expect multiple roster moves tomorrow
I'm laughing to myself, cause I was gonna respond to you that if they wanted go let Henry keep cooking, they could just call up Koch and let Tank keep Koching lol and then they did. But I didn't post

Didn't the Braves lose.

I think Shelton was just doing what he was told to do.

Only thing I'd say is, that should've been Suwinski's ball.
Agreed, but he was playing very deep, had a long way to get there.
It’s Jack’s ball all day long, direct line of sight in front of him, Jack makes that catch 100% of the time.
They said he got a late break, and he was kind of light yogging to the ball. I'm very pro Cruz to OF, but I'm not gonna hold that against him.
It could have been the sun too, Cruz looking right into it but without sunglasses.....

Yeah I followed you about Jack. Would like to see him take charge and call off Cruz, but it didn't happen.
Well that was interesting and unexpected. They don’t quit anymore and that’s encouraging and fun.

This kind of commentary is why I pay for this site. lol
Is it too late to send Oneil down so he fix his hitting ??
Yeah he hits the ball so hard they can't score those extra runs, lol.
So I left with my son to get dinner at In n Out, don’t even bother to check the score since I resigned myself to a loss……
You must now go with your son to In n Out late in every game and never check. Heck the score. No jinx!!
I mean, if I have too….🍔
You must!!
Oneil Cruz. I love you.❤️
raise it
Booyah!!!!!! #23!!!!! 113 to go! Perez had a rough go because of the error by Cruz but Cruz atones and picks up Martin late. Raise it!!!!!
I think I saw where Cruz just became the first guy ever to hit three balls over 115 mph in one game.
MLB just had an alert pop up where 2 of his hits were 120.4 and 121.5 mph for the 2 hardest hit balls this season as well.
Wow. Fantastic.
RTJR! Most unlikely W of the year!
It's because I left!
You may now never stay for the end of a game! If you leaving brought a win then staying is now not an option!
Clay Holmes first blown save. Now Doval first blown save. It's happened!
Loving the fight
HELL YEAH
