Gameday 68: Pirates go for series win on road against the Cardinals
Mitch Keller on the mound as the Pirates try to take two of three against Divional Rival
After defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1 on Tuesday, the Pirates dropped the second game 4-2.
Sonny Gray was fantastic for the Cardinals, allowing just one run across seven innings pitched, picking up the win.
Pitching for the Pirates, Bailey Falter only completed four innings, allowing three earned runs. Henry Davis hit his first home run of the season, scoring one of the two runs on the night for the Pirates.
The Pirates nearly got to Gray immediately, with Andrew McCutchen leading off the game with a walk and Bryan Reynolds following up with a double.
Gray struck out the next three batters to get out of the inning without allowing a run.
Mitch Keller will be on the mound for the Pirates in the series finale and will face Lance Lynn. The first pitch is expected around 2:15 pm ET.

Olivares doesn’t seem to be an answer to any of the team’s needs.
Good thing we have that really tall "bad baseball player" to finally come through for the offense.
