Gameday 79: Mitch Keller on the mound, facing Hunter Greene and the Reds
Pirates looking to rebound after tough loss on Monday
The Cincinnati Reds offense exploded for 11 runs on Monday night as they rolled to a win against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Bailey Falter allowed four earned runs across four innings while the bullpen also struggled to close things out.
We saw a back-and-forth between the Cruz’s—Elly and Oneil. Two of the most talented shortstops in the game both made plays at shortstop and hit mammoth home runs for their respective teams.
Elly De La Cruz finished the night 3-5 with three runs, three RBI with a double and a home run. Oneil Cruz recorded two hits and also drove in three on the night. Funny enough, Oneil hit his home run off another Cruz, Fernando.
Mitch Keller will take the mound for the Pirates, facing Hunter Greene. The two matched up last week and took part in a fantastic pitcher's duel that the Pirates eventually won 1-0 on a Bryan Reynolds home run.
