Gameday 83: Pirates open up weekend series at home against the Mets
Mitch Keller vs David Peterson
After losing two of three earlier in the week on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Pittsburgh Pirates return home to face the New York Mets.
Paul Skenes was roughed up in a marquee pitching matchup against rookie Jacob Misiorowski in the series finale.
The offense continues to have several issues, but Nick Gonzales hasn’t been one of them. He had a three-run home run and a five-hit game during the Brewers series.
Mitch Keller will be the starter, facing off against left-handed pitcher David Peterson. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 pm ET.

Interesting AB for Rivas. With second and third, he swung through a couple high FBs. On 0-2, he got a third one and hit it out.
In the Marauders’ DH so far today, YDLS is 3-4 with HR #7. Maybe it’s coming around for him.
