Martin Perez kicks series off for the Pirates
The Pirates won five of their last six games heading into the All-Star break and now begin the second half of the season with a 48-48 record.
They begin things with a weekend series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Martin Perez will get the start on Friday and will be followed up by Luis Ortiz and Marco Gonzales.
Mitch Keller and Paul Skenes will be held until the following series against the Cardinals.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 pm ET.
