I'd like to see Ro go to Japan or Korea to see if he can put together some good years without the DFAs and the shuttling between the majors and minors.
There are a few of those players every year that are on the fringe of being the 40th best player on 40 man rosters. As teams continue to sign players, they keep getting DFA'd and signed several times. I would think he is better than at least one guy on the Pirates current 40 man.
He's a contact oriented switch hitter with raw power. He use to throw 94mph but had elbow issues for a couple years and could only bat righty, then had another issue and could only bat lefty for a year. He'll switch hit this year, good contact with raw power hoping to show up in games.
I heard Holliday struggled last year and was only batting something like .244. I think his stock is inflated due to the name and ceiling.
And as much as I'd love the power guys (Holliday, Neyens, Schoolcraft), Billy Carlson might be the best of the bunch. He's looks really complete and looks smooth on the field and in the box
One thing I will say is that I hope they do go prep bat again in round 1. Pair some elite bat talent with Termarr and Griffin. Strangely enough with all the ss the team drafts we don’t have an elite prospect there yet. Carson could maybe be that?
We all know the Pirates are going to draft the undersized shortstop.
Ro has already been DFA’d by the O’s……

It's a deep class for prep bats.

I hope they can get in round 2
Dude has a name straight out of Justified. Infielder? Outfielder? An infielder we hope to turn into an outfielder?
Firstbase and corner outfielder, probably above average at first, below average outfielder defensively. I really like his swing.
No doubt about bat speed and exit velo there. How were his contact numbers?

Those were some absolute nukes, my goodness lol
honest to god what are they feeding these kids
'corn fed' doesn't do them justice anymore
Hopefully he'll be healthy for the entire season, and his health issues are behind him.

phenomenal name, sir.

Carlson and Willits are the two I currently like with a slight edge to Willits.
Sign me up for an up-the-middle premium position defender with a 70 grade arm all day
Bah. I don’t see how you pass on a guy named Kruz Schoolcraft.
I don't think he'll make it to pick 6, same with Neyens if his swing and miss issues are behind him.
Perhaps the best name I've ever come across lol
He never made it in MLB, but Socrates Brito always had a soft spot in my heart.
Which ones will pirates likely be able to draft?
Neyens and Holliday are the two most likely to be off the board by 6. Holliday is the only one I’d say is definitely going to be off the board
