As bad as today's swing is, he was no great shakes with a weapon in his hands prior to being drafted - somebody thought we would be able to create a hitter, but we overestimated our abilities. I'll keep lighting candles hoping we try to get Everson Pereira from the Yankees - he's almost ready, and at least 3 or 4 CF's ahead of him with the Yankees. I was also interested in Ceddanne Rafaela, but he is not blocked as badly with the Bosox.
Can they just try eliminating all of the pre-swing movement in favor of a very minor weight shift, staying quiet, and concentrating on seeing the ball? His glove and legs can play in CF, he's a proven base stealer, but he has to establish contact first.
All that pre-swing movement has been counter-productive for him, and his window of opportunity is now! Can we resurrect Charlie Lau's "The Art of Hitting .300"?
I wanna know what is going on with that leg lift in his new swing lol that looks like some 20 year old type shit where they're "finding their swing" or something. It doesn't look repeatable or in sync at all.
Gorski plays a plus CF with a strong arm and is the short side of the platoon. He could have been rule 5 pick this year and started against LHP. All teams passed. I think that shows that he's a non-prospect.
Remember that the beer league softball swing for Gorski is new and what led to his 2022 massive power breakout.
Hoosier Gorski that they drafted was far different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrFrvyAyeok

I applaud a guy for trying. Never know when it'll click just right.

Downright Jung-hoian.
Except, of the one AB I watched, it looks so uncomfortable for Gorski lol

His numbers against lefties are horrendous, I think AAA is his ceiling.
OPS of .347 last year!!!!! Not slugging, not average but OPS.
Holy oof
