I'd be for Naylor if they would extend him, I like Juan Brito as a potential 1st basemen as well. Brito gives me a Michael Busch vibe if moved to firstbase.
Like that he’s a switch hitter and he’s shown more pop in the minors than the scouting reports would suggest. Cleveland is loaded with guys like him so perhaps they’d be willing to move him?
Could not decide who I would like to see lose more when the Series that MLB dreamed of started. I had been warming towards the Dodgers as the opener began. Now that they are up 3-0 hoping for the sweep just to torment the Yankees fans the absolute most. The sooner it is over the sooner the Hot Stove gets lit and our fun can start again 😁
A Newf rescue pup, right at 8 months. He’s special needs. Has some vision and mobility issues. We picked Ralph up about four weeks ago. It’s a big adjustment, but he’s fitting in pretty well.
The narrative I most dislike in professional sports is that an athlete or team can't win in the clutch. The Dodgers have been a bit of a victim of that--how many people over the past three years have poked fun at the Dodgers for not winning when it most mattered? And 2020? Oh, let's just put an asterisk on that! Plus, they probably got cheated out of a WS by the Astros' sign-stealing. So I feel like the Dodgers are very deserving of this WS.
But, because I hate that narrative of not performing in the clutch, I hope Judge can lead the Yankees to extending the Series to 6 or 7 games.
I’ve enjoyed the series, or what I’ve seen of it (as we’re getting used to a new puppy, my attention has been diverted). Fun players on both sides. For whatever reason, I can’t get any kind of dislike stirred up against the Dodgers. I do find the meltdown of Yankee fans hilarious.
The melt down of Yankees fans is always good, lol! 2-0 Dodgers heading to the 2nd….. 2 fans in the Stands trying to take Betts’ glove after he catches a,ball for an out then yank the ball out after they couldn’t take his glove off. Guess they are living up to the Yanks name literally. Lol!. The meltdown heading to hyperdrive!
Freddie Freeman continues his march to the MVP of the World Series. His 2 run HR in the first gave Walker Buehler the ability to be pitching ahead for his 5 innings of work. So, the Dodgers are up 3-0, and they have not really had to tax their pitching to get to this point. Freeman, 35, was signed by the Dodgers after the Braves passed on him. He has been a rock of consistency for the Dodgers since coming home to LA in 2022 and has posted fWAR seasons of 6.8, 7.8, and this year he's falling down on the job with just a 4.1. He has played in 467 of the possible 486 regular season games the last 3 years. He signed for 6/$162 mil with a lot deferred and will be paid after he retires. Could not happen to a better guy, and a future Hall of Famer.
A well-pitched game by Khristian Curtis in the AFL, and thanks John for the recap. He is working his way back from a bad surgery on his arm in college. Anyone interested in the full story of his injury should pull up the article written by Jonathan Mayo earlier today entitled "How Bucs' No. 27 Prospect went from 2 Elbow Surgeries to the Fall League". It's an excellent read. I pulled it up on the Arizona Fall League News.
I see MLBTR did a piece on Josh Naylor as a trade candidate. He’d be an interesting get for us.

That's what I think. Maybe Ashcraft and Delay for Brito, Ingle and Watson. Probably a little wishful thinking on my part.

What kind of puppy? Puppies can be fun or a traumatic experience depending on the pup. 🤣🤣
