I know that you are probably just working on getting things rolling here, but do you have plans for gameday threads or anything of the sort? I know I am going to love the minor league content already, but hoping for daily discussion possibilities :) Hoping BOD can replace what P2 was for my daily hankering of buccos info and discussion
I have thought of that, and it is certainly something I may start giving it a shot. I'm open to almost anything at this point, and have a few ideas as far as daily content going forward.
Gameday threads will probably be something I toy around with at some point. Also thought about a weekly mailbag type of article as well. The Gameday thread will probably fit more as the site continues to grow, which it is doing so far quicker than I thought.
Maybe I'll stick a mini preview into the Morning Rundown, so that it can act as a mini preview/thread until making a separate one makes sense? These are treated like newsletters so they all get emailed out and I'd hate to flood some people with four or five things in rapid succession so early into this.
Makes sense to me! I like the idea of having a specific thread so theres no confusion on where game-related discussion would happen. I do really like the newsletter idea, though! Seems like a good idea to reach those that are less likely to come daily for new content or those who dont really want to comment. Many people check their email at least daily
Yea the format here is really nice, and am enjoying it. Maybe when the Pirates come home next week we will give the Gameday threads a shot, since the games will be back on local time. Give more time for things to continue to grow a bit.
the only reason I can see to keep him is because he is the best of our failed slop of accumulated outfielders. After jack, nobody has jumped the fray (Frazier, Gorski, Canaan, Scott, Swaggerty, Head, Palacios)
I´d rather have Joe on the bench than any of those dudes
Oh shit, i dunno why i thought he was with the rockies for more seasons than he was. Cheap and controllable bench piece is a good role for him and helpful for the team
I like Peguero over Williams. Peguero has the longer track record, wanna make sure this isn't just a really long hot streak for Williams, but I'm starting to feel like I wouldn't mind seeing him by the end of the season if he keeps it up
Imma assume they are still going a tad overboard with the matchup based lineups, even though Peggy hit righties better in the minors than he did lefties.
His ceiling is so much higher than marcano's is. I would prefer they just let him play 6 days a week like hank, gonzales, etc. and see what happens until cruz comes back

This is a very good point. Also the versatility of corner OF and 1B fills a gap we have in the system for sure. Probably a decent pinch hit option
