Morning Rundown: Pirates avoid sweep, beat Mets 4-0, Endy Rodriguez begins rehab assignment
Triolo, Gorski homer in Pirates win. Endy Rodriguez heads to Indianapolis on rehab
On the verge of a series sweep against the New York Mets, the Pirates put together a complete performance, winning 4-0 on Wednesday.
Two-run home runs from Matt Gorski and Jared Triolo were enough for the offense as the pitching combined to post a shutout.
A high pitch count (five walks) forced Bailey Falter out of the game early, with his night ending after 3.2 innings pitched. Chase Shugart pitched 2.1 innings out of the bullpen, picking up the win.
David Bednar pitched the eighth and struck out two.
The Pirates will have an off day on Thursday before heading to Philadelphia to face the Phillies this weekend.
Endy Rodriguez began a rehab assignment on Wednesday with Triple-A Indianapolis. He went 0-4 before being replaced by Abrahan Gutierrez. Spencer Horwitz seems to be warming up as his own rehab is coming to an end. He went 3-4 with a run scored on Wednesday.

Konnor Griffin is so fast. Just insane how quick he gets around those bases.
Somehow brick-gate has managed to get worse. It appears Travis the Who is thick as a brick.
