Cook is same age as Gorski and you traded for him.

Put Cutch on the shelf for two weeks let him refresh. Bring up your bounty that you worked for and see if you made good decisions or not.

I know it’s early, but do you bring Chapman back for another year? And if so, at what price? Stuff+ is still elite. Since the beginning of June, only 11 bb’s versus 33 k’s, 7 er’s, and rolling xwOBA over last 100 pa’s is well above average at .275. Like I said, I know it’s early, and I don’t mind having his arm in the back end of the bullpen.

I'd rather put that money into a hitter. Other guys have stepped forward this year that could be used in that setup roll. They can get a much cheaper lefty to fill the lefty roll. They need to try and upgrade 1b,3b or cf with the little money Bob will allow them to spend.

I’d have picked Chapman’s salary over Kiners for 2025

In a heartbeat.

We are paying $10 mil for a guy who is barely on the plus side of fWAR, so it would be a gamble for any GM to re-sign him for a 2nd year. BC does not seem to be a GM willing to step out on the "plank".

Glad to see Yorke and Cook do well coming over, but if we are looking for some possible power to add to the lineup, would CF Matt Gorski be a possibility? 17 Doubles, 5 triples, and 16 HR, and most of those HR's were hit at Victory Field, which is death valley for RH power hitters. Still only 26.

This is the right take. Guys are squaring up the ball better against Chapman and hitting it harder. He still offers elite swing and miss stuff, but that’s about it. $10.5 million is a lot for a guy with an xFIP near 4 who is close to replacement level.

Unfortunately, Gorski is striking out ~30% of the time, he would get eaten alive up here

Gorski’s been passed over twice in R5, which shows no scouts are buying in.
