Morning Rundown: Pirates take series after offensive explosion, Bart placed on IL
Pirates take series against Diamondbacks
The Pittsburgh Pirates' offense exploded for 10 runs, clinching a series win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
It was an amazing turn of events, as the Pirates were down 6-0 on Tuesday, but rallied back to score 19 unanswered runs, taking the final two games of the series.
Oneil Cruz hit his 12th home run of the season, driving in three runs on the day. Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Henry Davis, and Jared Triolo recorded multi-hit games.
Paul Skenes tossed 6.2 shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out seven. It was his fourth win of the season and lowered his ERA to 2.15.
The Pirates will now have a day off before continuing their road trip against the San Diego Padres. After they wrap up this series, they will head home for nine straight at PNC Park.
Joey Bart was placed on the injured list on Wednesday due to concussion-like symptoms. He left during Tuesday’s game against the Diamondbacks, replaced by Henry Davis.
In 44 games played this year, Bart has hit .240/.347/.308 with one home run and 11 RBI. Endy Rodriguez was recalled to take his roster spot. He had been playing with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Amazing how much fun being a fan can be when your team scores some runs.
Haha, if they gotta bunt, need more of this:
"Wyatt Sanford singles on a soft bunt ground ball to pitcher Rudit Pina. Eduardo Oviedo to 3rd. Carl Calixte to 2nd."
Sanford actually bunts better than anybody on the major league team.
