Ely: How concerned should we be about Jun-Seok Shim? Even in tiny AFL sample, his stuff doesn’t look right.
Eric A Longenhagen: Looked pretty awful the day I saw him. Sitting 90-91, super short and unathletic stride, breaking ball had okay depth but was easy to spot out of his hand.
Big win for Guardians. If they beat the odds and comeback to win this series, there will be a lot of moaning and gnashing of teeth in the Bronx Zoo this winter.
Nice to see Sammy Siani having a good showing in the AFL. Looking forward, the RF position is going to be wide open for the Pirates unless they think that BDLC will adjust to batting while wearing a Pirate uniform. Looking at his K/BB rate of 13/1 after joining the Pirates, while at Miami it was around 4.7/1, makes me think he does not want to play for the Pirates. Good opportunity for Siani.
Like the way you showed the importance of a positive Walk to K Rate in a players OPS numbers in the comparison of batting numbers between Sammy Siani and TJ.

Good for Siani. He might be a slow burner prospect that suddenly figures it all out.
Hope so, I’ve picked him to be the breakout prospect I think twice now, definitely after he had a good winter in Australia.

4.7/1 isn't exactly something to aim for. BDLC's problem wasn't the Pirates, it was baseball.
