The best team in each league making it to the series is how it's 'sposed to work and rarely does.

True enough. Doesn't mean we have to like it.

But I admit to being intrigued at having some truly great ballplayers in the world series. Could be one for the ages.

Anyone know where Yean sits with his sinker? I've read mid to upper 90's, but memory is telling me 93-94 with Altoona.

If he's mid to upper 90's with a heavy sinker, he could be a valuable fireman.

Kopech has been lights out this post season. Stuff has always been good, really went to another level with the Dodgers

Tends to be the way it works when you leave a perennial loser like the CWS, and find yourself with a team like the LAD heading to the post season. He's 28 and would love to spend more years with the Dodgers. In 20+ innings for the Dodgers his ERA is between 1.00 and 1.50 if I am remembering correctly!

Some of the Pirates in the AFL have been solid - at the plate, OF Sammy Siani and MI Termarr Johnson, and on the Mound, Khristian Curtis and Derek Diamond, both who have been used as Starting Pitchers. It will be interesting to see if the Pirates will promote Siani to start at AAA in 2025. If so, I hope he can find some double-figure HR power - right now he's as good of a defensive OF as anyone in the system.

Looking forward to seeing the two teams with the highest payrolls in MLB compete in the World Series. There were some teams in the playoffs who surprised by losing early, especially Baltimore. As talented and competitive as they were for 75% of the year, they picked the wrong time to play their worst baseball. Other questions are will the Pirates find a trading partner with plenty of hitters, and in need of pitching. B'more could be that team. Oakland could also be that type of team.
