Hire Mrs. Yorke as the hitting coach!

His two brothers are brick houses. Zach at GCU, played with Jacob Wilson, and Joe at Cal Poly

The correct spelling is brick haaauuusss.

Zach has a good swing, might be a good target 2nd round or later next year. Both look like they could hold down a line position in football lol.

They some big boiz lol Nick the runt. Zach has a great eye and patience, just wondering if the power will take uptick.

Yep, I know it's in there, (da power) just needs to get to it often. I've seen him crush a ball over 450ft lol.

He got a lot to get behind it lol

Yorke needs to be on the 40-man this off-season. He's had 63 games of success in Triple-A, which is not a small sample size. I'd like to see him up and getting ABs against big league pitchers as soon as possible (ideally that's about a week ago). Triple-A season doesn't end until the 22nd. You wait that long "because he's getting regular ABs in Indianapolis" and there's one week left in the MLB schedule. No reason he can't be in the Pirates lineup during each of the final 29 games

Agree - it would be stupid not to take advantage of this last month to get him exposed to MLB pitching. His fielding at 2B may not be as good right now as NG, but he is 3 years younger and he needs the work at the MLB level. I'd have both he and Peguero up for the final month, and unload all of the guys we know are not going to be retained.

This makes too much sense. The odds of these dimwits doing something vary in inverse proportion to the amount of sense it makes.

What are you trying to do? Take away Alika Williams' opportunities? He's SO CLOSE to breaking out!

It's ridiculous that he's not up. The org is wasting abs on stiffs currently on the roster that seem to have no future other than depth bench pieces.

Let's bring his ass up already! Triolo and Williams are not moving the needle.

I don't think he can play 3rd. If they call him up, he's on the bench.

leave him in AAA where he can play every day. He'll be up once the minor league season is over...do they still expand rosters?

Not like it used to be. The Sep callup amounts to having 28 on the roster rather than 26, and the MLB season ends early this year, so not much time available.

He has to be either at 2B or CF - that's the 2 positions he has been playing at Indy. Last year at AA for Boston he played 96 games at 2B with a .984 fielding percentage. .989 at 2B in AAA for Boston this year and also played LF.

They’ve got a bunch of guys who can’t play hitter. Why is that OK?

I guess bench him for Gonzales and see what happens.

Or Gonzales to 3b…

Not ideal but put IKF at third, Gonzalez at short and Yorke at 2b. Find someone - anyone who has a chance at league average offense - to play some 1b since Tellez isn't coming back. Hey, if Cruz is learning a new position, why not someone else? If Gonzalez could play third, maybe Peguero at short and IKF at 1b? Triolo and Williams back at AAA.
