After watching Peralta when he has it going and when he can't find the plate (It's the big white thing!), I think they could get him as high a AAA this year. Hitters at low A and high A can't touch his stuff. Might as well find out what they have. Frustrating guy to watch.

Pirates released Eric Lauer per his out clause. He wasn’t doing well at Indy.
Wouldn't be at all surprised if he lands a major league deal -- lot of teams looking for any kind of starters.
Seems odd. Thought he might negotiate another out claise in 30 days. Can’t imagine anyone giving him an MLB spot right now.
