They picked up a strong 2B (Gimenez),and OF (Santander) joining Varsho and Springer. So, there's a few kids that were looking at a future and are now going to be delayed for a lot of time if the Jays want to keep them.

In 208 AB in MLB he had a slash of 197/250/351/601 OPS, 11 doubles, 7 HR, 28 RBI, 14 BB/60 K. K's a lot higher but the EBH's and RBI's pretty close to what he did in AAA.
Clase came in trade from Seattle where they saw him as a key player. In 135 AB at AAA for Toronto a slash of 244/288/363/651 OPS, 10 doubles, 2 HR, 11 RBI, 9 BB/38 K. At MLB only 20 AB. In Seattle at AAA he had a slash of 274/373/483/856 OPS with 11 doubles, 4 triples, 10 HR, 34 RBI, 40 BB/ 72 K, 26 of 35 SB. He was a +0.2 fWAR in 2024.
Berroa played in the OF at AAA and in 260 AB he had a slash of 281/371/454/825 OPS, with 9 doubles, 3 triples, 10 HR, 47 RBI; 35 BB/71 K, 34 of 42 SB. In MLB only 37 AB. Berroa was a +0.4 fWAR in 2024.
I just looked up Owen Kellington's high school numbers again from where he played in Vermont.
7 and 0 with a 0.22 ERA. In 49 innings, he had 133 strike outs. 91% of his outs were strike-outs. They could have stuck me in the oufield and it probably woudn't have mattered.
I'm also pulling for him, partly because I've long associated Vermont with Killington even though I've never been there. I must have seen a cool Ski Killington poster growing up, or something. So when we drafted a Kellington from Vermont, I just thought it was this quirky coincidence. And maybe Greg Brown can work with that. Perhaps sKi Kellington!
