Toronto wont let him play third base because they prefer defense

Wondering if they´d take KeBryans salary?

I just wanted to pop in to tell everyone that the Royals beat the Orioles 2-1 and move on to play the Yankees in the ALDS. You can all resume your normal activities now... once you all acknowledge the great wonder of Royals baseball.

Rob Manfred might totally stroke out if KC beats NY.

They have been awful against the Yankees this season, but this is a different team than the one that played the Yankees just 5 weeks ago. Having Pasquantino back is very important, but the biggest difference is the bullpen. The bullpen is looking much better with Bubic there back from TJS, and Zerpa is becoming the guy everyone thought he could be since he was at AA. With these 2 finally hitting stride and now Erceg coming in, the bullpen has gone from a glaring weakness to something of a strength. They have come a long way from having to use McArthur and Christ Stratton to close out games.

O's with all their solid hitters have 1 run on 10 hits through 16 innings. Not over, but it's an eye opener.

55-63 on Aug 10......sound familiar. Other GMs are going to take note.

With their trade deadline sell, they also boosted their farm system.

Maybe it will help change the conventional wisdom that you need to acquire veterans for a stretch run.

I think it was 1987 when Syd Thrift made some trades at the deadline and then told the young players who remained that it was their team, they were the group they'd move forward with. They were 45-59 on August 2 and then went 35-23 the rest of the way to finish 80-82.

Clearly their GM thought they had no chance. Amazing turnaround.

Joey Cora is coaching 3rd base for Tigers? Ok Hinch just lost some respect.

Then Hunch pinch hits Ibanez for McInstry and gets the bases loaded double.

Redeemed!

Nine outs to advance, Hinch brings in Jackson Jobe with 1-0 lead, who has 4 IP in MLB. It doesn't go well. Let the second-guessing begin.

Didn't Baz also get smoked when the Rays tried that a few years back?

I don't get it.

Could see it if he was up Sept 1 and had 6 or 8 appearances. But last week of Sept call-up to playoff game is some gamble.
