Overview
Lettow spent two years at Arizona State and didn’t pitch much. He transferred to San Diego State for his junior year and made 15 starts, putting up a 3.79 ERA, 3.1 BB/9 and 10.6 K/9. He didn’t turn 21 until shortly after the draft, so he was young for a college draftee, along with being relatively inexperienced, and he may have some projection. He throws a fastball that sits at 90-92 mph, along with a sweeper, curve and change, with the sweeper possibly being the most promising pitch. He signed for slightly above the slot amount for post-round-10 picks.
