The 2026 MLB Draft will begin on Saturday at 1:00 pm ET. Day one will consist of the first four rounds, with the rest taking place on Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have three of the first 51 picks.
We will track the picks here and update them when they sign, with the amount they have signed for. I’ll also try to update it with information on each player, especially the lesser-known picks.
1.5 - OF Derek Curiel, LSU
Slot Amount - $8,336,500
Bonus: $6,200,000
Information: A draft-eligible sophomore, Curiel hit .349/.452/.522 with 13 home runs and 101 RBI in two years at LSU. He was the 15th-ranked prospect at FanGraphs, as well as 12th on Pipeline, and 10th on Baseball America.
2.44 - SS Aiden Ruiz, The Stony Brook (N.Y.) HS.

5.140 - LHP Ryan Marohn, NC State
Update: Marohn missed time with an injury this year but posted a 6-1 record with a 3.18 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 45.1 innings pitched. Good change-up and command over stuff lefty. He’s the 90th-ranked prospect on Baseball America.

6.169 - RHP Tyler Fay, Alabama
Slot Amount - $403,500

Update: A college senior who was the team’s Friday night starter this past season. He is the 140th-ranked prospect on Baseball America. Posted a 4.54 ERA over 109 IP last year. Broadcast said 92-95 mph with the fastball, tops 97. A ‘sweepy’ slider as well.
7.198 - RHP Bryson Moore, Florida State
Update: Moore spent his first two years in college at UVA before transferring to Florida State. He posted a 6-2 record with a 3.86 ERA and 65 strikeouts over 67.2 innings pitched. The fastball is reportedly in the 92-94 mph range while topping out at 96. The curve and slider are very high spin pitches, and he also mixes in a change-up and cutter.

8.228 - RHP Alex Overbay, Arizona State
Slot Amount: $251,500
Bonus: $222,500
The son of former big leaguer Lyle Overbay. Spent his first two years in college at UNLV before transferring to Arizona State. He posted a 1-3 record in 20 games, 16 of which were out of the bullpen, posting a 5.79 ERA with 50 strikeouts over 42 innings pitched. He touches 98 with the fastball, while his best pitch is his slider. Overslot baseball mentioned the stuff took a jump and there’s a chance he could start in pro ball. Sounded like the broadcast mentioned that he had outlier traits in his fastball.

9.258 - 3B/OF Tre Phelps, Georgia
Update: Phelps hit .348/.468/.628 with 19 home runs and 59 RBI this season with Georgia. Baseball America and MLB Pipeline gave him a ‘55’ for his power tool. The defense is below-average, and some think he’ll move to a corner outfield spot. Phelps cut the strikeouts down but doesn’t walk much, as he does expand the zone often.

10.288 - RHP Michael Gibson, The Citadel
Update: A two-way senior draft pick, Gibson posted a 5.26 ERA with 10 saves while striking out 73 batters over 53 innings pitched. He also posted a 1.112 OPS with six home runs and 15 doubles over 177 plate appearances.

11.318 - LHP Spencer Evans, TNXL Academy FL
Bonus: $300,000
Update: Has a commitment to LSU. Mid-90s with the fastball that gets a lot of whiffs at the top of the zone. Still plenty of projection left, listed at 6’3” and 180 pounds. Has a sweepy slider that could use some work, as well as a change-up. Control is a 40 on Pipeline.
12.348 - RHP Rohan Lettow, San Diego State
Bonus: $157,500
Update: According to Over Slot Baseball, Lettow is 90-92 with the fastball, topping 94 with carry through the zone. Adds a sweeper, curveball, and change-up. The sweeper apparently has a chance to be good. Still some projection, and he’s younger for a college pick (still 20).
13.378 - RHP Griffin Stieg, Virginia Tech
Bonus: $150,000
Update: Stieg didn’t pitch in 2025 due to Tommy John surgery and struggled this past season, posting an ERA over 7. It’s a sinker/slider/change-up mix from a low arm angle. Over Slot baseball likes him as a reliever since he isn’t going to miss too many bats with the sinker, which can get up to 97 mph. The sinker averaged more than 20” of horizontal break.
14.408 - RHP Damarcus Rideout-Carter, Heart Lake SS (ON), Canada
Bonus: $211,300
Update: Not much information on this pick. Not ranked on Pipeline, BA, or Over Slot. Going through the videos on Twitter, it seems he had quite the velocity bump over the past year. Listed at 6’3” and 170 pounds, so there’s projection there. A recent video had him up to 93 mph.
15.438 - RHP Liam O’Leary, St. John’s (NY)
Bonus: $150,000
Update: Not much information here, but he posted a 3.64 ERA with 78 strikeouts in 108.2 innings pitched this past year. Part of a St. John’s team that made the Super Regionals. A video last year mentioned a fastball (up to 93/94), slider, curveball, and change-up.
16.468 - RHP Grant Govel, USC
Not Signed
Update: A draft-eligible sophomore who posted a 10-3 record and a 2.87 ERA to go along with 99 strikeouts and 103.1 innings pitched. He’s ranked 183 on Baseball America. He gets above-average carry and extension as well as a flat approach angle with the fastball. His change-up recorded a 44% whiff rate.
17.498 - RHP Nathan Helman, Kennesaw State
Bonus: $25,000
Update: Struggling to find information at this point, but he had a 3-1 record with a 5.81 ERA and 40 strikeouts over 31 innings pitched. He pitched primarily as a reliever, with 17 appearances, only two of which were starts.
18.528 - OF Malachi Washington, Parkview HS (GA)
Not signed
Update: Baseball America called him one of the ‘premier athletes’ of this class. He’s looked at more as a power-over-hit player. Washington also puts up plus run times and a plus throwing arm. He’s an LSU commit. Baseball America had him ranked 120, and MLB Pipeline ranked him 118.
Update: Washington posted on Instagram that he would be attending LSU. He posted a picture of himself wearing an LSU jersey, saying “LEHH DOO ITTT”
19.558 - OF Andrew Duncan, Wright State
Not signed
Update: He started his college career at Florida State in 2024. There are no listed college stats for 2025 before playing at Wright State in 2026. He batted .367/.436/.577 with six home runs, 11 doubles, eight triples, and 19 stolen bases.
Update: According to Vols247, Duncan doesn’t plan on signing with the Pirates and will instead honor his commitment to Tennessee.
20.588 - LHP Dakota Stone, North Florida
Bonus: $100,000
Update: Stone posted a 7-3 record with a 2.85 ERA, striking out 102 batters over 79 innings pitched. He was First Team All-ASUN this past season.
Probably not the right place for this, but the Pirates expect Cruz, Horwitz and Sisk back this month. Endy isn't expected to be out much longer than the ten days. Low-grade strain. Dotel sounds like he's ready. That's a lot of reinforcements.
