As long he keeps homering every 8 at bats, I would gladly take a 70 home run season. But seriously, last year he went from swinging for the fences and failing to hitting .417 in Indy for September. Right now he is working the count much better. I think the jury is still out on what to expect from him. I am way more optimistic than I was this time last year.
I haven’t been impressed by Tellez so far, so perhaps is influencing my view of Lamb. But I think I rather have Lamb over Tellez. He’s having better at bat, better contact and defending the position better. Not gonna happen, but still.
I haven't heard them mention it, cause I've had the sound off and playing music in background instead. But I have to imagine there's quite a bit of wind. Either a lot of guys "just missing", or this could've easily been an 8-7 game with some of the balls that appeared squared up.
Pretty sure CSN lost a shot to right center, ended up in center. One of the RedSox had one similar (Celestino ended up catching it in center passing our our centerfielder).
Henry hits a groundball to short and busts it out of the box and winds up safe with a wide throw. I can only see a few of our regulars willing to run hard on a ground ball like that.
Not going to happen unless Cruz is having difficulty with his ankle. I do think Peggy is the SS eventually, but I think the IF is locked in for this year and it should be VG on both sides of the ball. Hayes, Cruz, Peguero, Triolo, and Tellez at 1B, and Joe at 1B/Corner OF.
I said it jokingly, mostly. Like me saying Pirates to World Series after one game. If it were up to me, Cruz would've gone to CF a while ago (similar to Jazz). But, it ain't up to me, and isn't like they have someone actually pressing for SS time.
I was actually trying to figure out a way to rearrange my schedule to watch the beginning of the game, looking at the line up and pitchers schedule convinced me not to do so!
Sox played in Dominican this weekend. When are we going to Puerto Rico for two? This should have been done 20 years ago. Come on Travis.....get er done.
MLB has done its best to kill the sport in the island. Nothing has done more damage than removing them from the international draft and including them in the rule 4 draft. If only we had all the academies and advantages that the DR have. There’s no HS baseball in PR, there’s no travel league, all they could do now is move to the mainland or hope to latch on to one of the few academies like the one Beltran has and those are not producing real talent.
I don’t think the human arm is made to throw a baseball like many of today’s players do. So much torque put on the elbow and shoulder. For many players, it is a question of when not if their arm will fall apart.
The billion dollar invention are the chips to place in a pitcher's arm that can measure the strain before it gets bad. Maybe like a check engine light.
Quick game,
CSN, at the moment, a BA of .200 and an OPS of .860. Would you take that for an everyday outfielder?

I, too, will accept a 75% HR/FB rate.
Suwinski batted .224 with an OPS of .793 last year, so I'm sure a lot of people would take that.
Fair. Just imagine what Suwinski could do IF HE SWUNG THE BAT!
First time watching Marcelo Mayer play, making Cruz look like a gold glove.
I've seen enough, Hank's a bust Bubba will blow out and Urban Meyer's an All Star. Fire Ben.

I'll take Honeywell in the pen. He's looked pretty dirty.
Given the number of guys pitching their way out of it, it's good to see someone pitching his way in.

Wind was blowing in hard. Davis hit a ball straight up, announcers mentioned the wind blew it out of play.
There were definitely a few squared up balls by both teams that when they flipped the camera I went, "That's it? That's as far as that went?"

CSN looking good in left field. A good read and a diving catch to one hitter. Then a nice play and wall off the wall to the next.
Who is that is wearing the Bailey Falter jersey pitching for the Bucs today?
I think the good games mixed with the bad games is what to expect from Falter.
Meh facing the B squad for the sox but even still, hes trying to not lose his spot for sure!

Now Canaan Smith-Njigba reaches on error, also a ground ball to the shortstop where CSN was running hard out of the box.
Peggy starting SS by mid-season. Book it. (If he hits)

This screenshot is going next to the 'Yu Chang breakout' nonsense lol
How dare you!
BnP dropping a bomb! Where does that put ole cruzy?
OF. Some DH during Cutch off days while he's learning the lay of the land.

This looks like this is a "your last chance" line-up for a lot players and pitchers before getting sent down.
Just read where Aaron Boone is reporting that Cole is having an MRI done on his pitching elbow. Never a good thing for a pitcher.
The biggest problem in baseball, in my opinion.

God I hate the check engine light.
The flexor sensor. Make it so, number 1.
They get paid handsomely for it!
Bailey's last stand?
Can’t afford to falter again.
Anything but through three.
Ha nice well done
If you want to see guys battling for jobs, today’s lineup is a great one.
I should have read all the way through before I posted that above.
