Spring Training Gameday 3: Pirates look for first win of Spring against the Blue Jays
Roansy Contreras expected to make his 2024 debut on the road
The Pittsburgh Pirates lost their second Spring game, and first at home, on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 2-0.
Mitch Keller made his 2024 debut on Sunday, pitching two innings, allowing a hit and two walks while striking out two batters. The offense only mustered up three hits on the day, with Nick Gonzales picking up a double.
We will see them back on the road on Monday, heading to Dunedin to play the Toronto Blue Jays. The first pitch is expected around 1:05 pm ET.
According to Jason Mackey, Roansy Contreras is expected to start. He’s fighting for a rotation spot this Spring.
