So Marin said there was "no doubt" that Bednar's missed time in ST and then rushing back was a big part of his struggles. That's great insight 11 months too late.
We've been outscored 28-7 since someone commented on how much better we were looking in ST than in recent years. We're all in ST getting ready for the season, so I'm not going to judge the poster based on that jinx-worthy comment, but let's not let it happen in April.
It could have also come from Brown's interview of Hague on Sunday when Brown was gushing about how improved the offense was. Maybe just a bit premature, but then that's ST with Brownie. (I actually liked what Hague had to say, and _how_ he said it quite a bit.)
Heaney did NOT look good. Nibbling and hoping for chases. Hard contact, three walks, put himself in a bad spot, and was one pitch away from getting out mostly clean, but as almost always happens, one nibble too many. The pitching equivalent of FAFO.
Jhostynxon.
Lol had to Google that.
The book is already out on Griffin! Amazing how quickly MLB will adjust. Gotta learn how to hit the curve in Milb.
Big difference from the high-school breaking pitches he was up against last year.
I like Brannigan's defense.
Smh, candy arm of IKF.
IKF is not the shortstop you’re looking for.
Another walk-a-thon just like last night. Wth is Oscar telling these pitchers?
And here he is on air......will Capps ask questions?

Interesting that Marin cited his release point was too high last year. Bednar's been working off season on that.
Falter is much better starter than Ferguson.
Maybe Ferguson can be an opener, but I would not send him thru the order a second time.
Control just isn’t good enough to start. Maybe if he threw 3-4 clicks harder.
And Bae has a 1.445 ops! That's the leading indicator that it's Spring Training.
Bae actually hit that one hard.
We need to get into more 2-0 counts, often get a meatball to hit. Bae was right on it.
Well, maybe we do need a submariner.
If they keep playing like this, they'll be underwater quickly. A submariner would be in order.
Bob wouldn’t spring for a sub, but the local supply store had a sale on cinder blocks.
Maybe this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namor

Guilty as charged. I was the one who make that comment.

I didn't remember who it was, just that our fortunes almost immediately started to change :)
With the Cherington Pirates, the Demon Regression lurks around every corner.
Jarod Bayless? Now that’s reaching down deep.

Heaney is nibbling today.....that's hard to watch.
I can’t bear nibbling. I’d rather do my taxes.
Was thinking the same thing. Frustrating. Nibbling is so 2010s.
I had visions of Duke, Maholm, and Locke.
Maholm actually had a decent fastball. Of the three, Locke was the champion nibbler.
Priester hitting 97 mph with his fastball and 94 with a cutter. That's new lol
96 for Priester......where did that come from. Driveline?
Now 2 pitches at 97...?? Capps is right, there is something different, he's driving hard with his legs.
And there's Vogey right next to Shelton, hopefully annoying him!
