Jase Bowen has had an excellent year at A+ GBO and I was wondering why he is still there. I thought maybe GBO was going to be in the playoffs, but that's a long shot at best. Age could be a factor in that he is only 22, but that should not be an issue.
Matt Gorski and Matt Fraizer, both 25, are the CF's in Altoona. Fraizer is repeating AA, but still struggling and Gorski is also struggling. Bowen has earned it and we also have Hudson Head, who is also 22, but has missed most of the year with an injury. Need to set the stage so one or both can possibly make a run at MLB in 2024!
This is my favorite feature on the site so far. Intrigued is the same thought I had about Forrester right after the draft. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one.
Yeah... I'm very curious to see how Forrester plays out in real life. He has been my OOTPB firstbaseman for 14 years and is about to retire. He has my number 5 hitter for so long, I'm not sure what I am going to do without him. Not Hall of Fame, but really good career numbers. About 2000 hits... about a .365 career OBP and has a chance to reach 400 HRs. Has 2 playoff MVPs and 1 World Series MVP. Never was injured once in 14 years.
I am still holding out hope for Siani and Head. Siani has more of my attention and I love the possible old school table setter profile. You gave me a little more hope Nola.
Side note: At the time I loved the thought of drafting Austin Hendrick and Alex Kirilloff due to them being from Pittsburgh. But Hendrick is struggling mightily and Kirilloff seems forever to be getting hurt. But I'd trade Eddie Yean for either.
There are always a lot of swings and misses with drafting College Players. Years ago, the go to safety picks were kids on the west coast, Texas, but now it seems to have shifted to the SEC and coming up fast is the ACC. For HS players, Florida, Georgia, Cali, Texas, Oregon. Our No. 1 this year excelled in HS in Cali, and excelled at LSU in the SEC in college.
My disappointment in Nick Gonzales has faded even while his expectations have dropped solely due to the fact that all the others dudes I wanted instead from that draft also stink.
Just looked again at the draft. At least Jared Jones seems like he is turning the corner. Jordan Walker was available. So was Bobby Miller. Always amazes me when I look at the Wikipedia pages for the past drafts. So many of the dudes don't pan out. All of them were studs at one point. Got to be tough when it hits them that they aren't going to make it. Not Drew Maggi though.
Love this series! A few additions, bowen has seemed to show improved results and has also cut his K rate from 31% last season to 28% this season, which isnt huge but moves him from the wrong side of 30 to the right one. If we can get him a little closer to 25 with him continuing to impact the ball in a big way, then we could really be onto something here. Also, does anyone what is making harrington so hittable? His K/BB at GBO is 71/57.1 which is fantastic, but BAA is up to .285, for some reason it doesnt make sense to me how a guy could K so many guys while also getting hit around a decent amount
pre-2023 Jared Jones had such poor control that he had to drastically reduce his stuff in order to get it in the zone, at which point he'd get smoked. Struck out a ton of batters AND gave up a ton of hard contact accordingly.
2023 Jared Jones still has poorly command (precision) but has significantly improved his control (accuracy) to the point that he's getting 98-99 in the zone. Results improved as you'd expect.
Haven't watched nearly enough of Harrington to claim he's the same, but it's at least possible.
Hmm this is a good point. This would probably require a very deep dive, but he would be a guy that it could be interesting to see his stuff when hes ahead in a count vs behind. Feels like some guys with fear of control issues might need to build the confidence of not needing to back off in order to throw strikes
Sinai seems to have glimpses but no consistent stretches of performance.

Ill sign up for that!
If Kellington can’t get his velocity up, I am not holding out much hope for him.
As for Bubba, I am REALLY hoping something has clicked.
I loved this format. Good stuff on various prospects. It will be interesting to go back over this in a year.

I still wanted Gunnar (Prince) Henderson instead of a reference to an old Raiders WR.
The karma gods will never allow Siani to become a Pirate.Never! 🤣🤣🤣
That would have been nice. I wanted Zac Veen. Not sure if he will pan out. Or if he can hit a curve.
I wanted him over Nicky G. Just shows how hard it is to predict success even for Top 10 talent.

Half of the Top Ten historically on average don’t make it. It’s a pretty rough crap shoot.
Really enjoying reading the daily updates!!!
And being able to read the premium articles, as well.
Thank you for all your help,Anthony!!!
Great work guys!!!
reed starting for the fcl team today. how exciting
so many wild pitches 😂
I take it that there's no clinic on control being shown in the game so far lol

But what Marvel Cinematic Universe character arc does each prospect align with most closely???
That's the other site!
Nola love Bowen lol
Actually wrote that before we hung out lol
How sweet. The two of you hanging out! 💍💍💍
