How difficult would it be to once again make Brandenton the A+ affiliate? Then again the PCL as a whole is similar to Greensboro if not worse, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
You'd have to get every team in the Florida State League AND South Atlantic League to agree to swap again. Thought I read somewhere that the reasoning was to put those teams Low A teams near the complexes to make things easier. I don't know for sure though.
I’ve read the same thing. I know is easier said than done, but this is a structural problem, not an altitude problem, so is not a hard fix. It a cheap one either!
It’ll get changed soon enough. MLB clearly intends to contract the minors further. Ultimately I expect each team will have just one full-blown MiL affiliate, plus some sort of operation at its training site and a DSL team.
Nicolas is really struggling with the control. Not as bad as Selby but still struggling. I wouldn't mind seeing Honeywell, but would be harder to make room for two NRI.
I’m in total agreement on Stratton being the next man up if Big Bank is closed for extended time.
Any hitter who “sells out for power” while at Greensboro needs to be admonished. If anything, hitters should take a more contact over power approach in the SAL. Park dimensions will exaggerate power numbers enough without setting oneself up for failure if and when promoted to Altoona and Indy.
I like what Stratton has done late last year and this spring and while I never thought about it much it seems selling out for power in Greensboro could be an actual problem for some of these kids.

Last sentence is supposed to read; it’s not a cheap one…
In addition to moreta, troubled by the bednar news... Stratton and nicolas both find their way into the opening day bullpen?

rooting for Honeywell
also hoping to trade one of our second basemen to Tampa for Brendan McKay or to Houston for Forrest Whitley
As long as it’s not Triolo. That guy’s going to be a difference maker.
Subscribe for any or all. Honeywell is a solid option too tbh
on the other hand Whitley Houston sounds like he might sit tight
I hope it's not so but it feels like another spot might have opened up with Moreta's injury.
Moreta’s misfortune appears to be Nicolas’ missed opportunity.
Nicolas’ missed opportunity may save him from being blown up by Shelton's abuse for awhile anyway, lol.
