I added that after I looked at his bbref page.

"on purpose"? Great sense of humor! Fresh arm, maybe? Had to look - I guess the 96.4 mph Sinker could be responsible for the 50+ % GB rate and the fairly reasonable FIP? Definitely a long shot, but I would bet he has an Option or two to get him to AAA for refinement.

Should go to AAA for retirement

So much talent out there in the world. If the DR which is a pin sized place produces that many players, the rest of the world has potential to provide other significant talents. I'm actually surprised that it's still as limited as it is.

I'd say specifically countries that should have more prospects signed include Japan, China, Korea and other asian nations less known for producing regular talent. Australia has really seen a jump in talent recently, so also glad to see we're still pulling from there! Hopefully Kwan has his eye's on all the possibilities and is productive in developing all these kids.

Countries with their own leagues tend to sign their own players. You don't have to leave Japan, Korea, Mexico to make money playing baseball during the summer. Other countries don't have that luxury. China is very raw with baseball. It caught on much later than elsewhere

I am pulling hard for Armstrong Muhoozi simply because I want to hear Pirates fans going "Muuuuuuuu" when he steps to the plate at PNC Park....
