Overview
McAdoo didn’t play much as a freshman at San Jose State, but broke out as a sophomore, with an OPS of 1.035, including very good power. He followed up with a .952 figure as a junior. He also hit well in summer ball in 2021-22. McAdoo had good walk rates and kept the strikeouts reasonable. He has an average arm and scouts don’t seem to think he has the athleticism to stay at second, with left field maybe a more likely spot. Baseball America ranked McAdoo 342nd among draft prospects. He signed for the slot amount.
2023
McAdoo got into 28 games with Bradenton and hit 302/412/510, showing good power. His plate discipline was also good — 17 walks and 22 strikeouts. He played more in left than at second and looked more at home in the outfield.
