I mean seriously. How is it possible that a Major League Baseball player, this far into his career cannot fix the obvious mechanical problem that cause him to continuously and consistently drill the ball into the ground?!!
He is in the Major Leagues!! Maybe not performing at the level he or we want but if you have made it this far I find it hard to believe that his body is not correct for the sport. Even with Michael Jordan - maybe if he started as a 4 year old and just concentrated on baseball he may have performed a tad better.
It's arguable whether the far and away worst hitter in the league against RHP belongs in the league or not. Not a hill I feel the need to die on. I bet Jordan would have hit righties a tad better :)
Has has a terrible inside out swing. He's never going to elevate the ball and with his pervasive back issues his hard contact is gone now too. Unless he has some reason to believe he can solve his back issues he should probably retire and save himself the embarrassment of being one of the worst hitters in the game with worse outcomes likely coming year over year.
May just be the eye test and some recency bias, but it appears he’s been throwing the cutter too high in the zone lately. It’s getting clobbered. He needs to keep that pitch bottom half to bottom third of the zone.
I will say this Skenes in Indy stayed after 2 of his games for an hour each time until it got to the end of the line of hundreds of people. To get to all of the people, you are going to have to sign fast. Reggie's signature was cool, but there is no way he would sign for 6 hours because that is about how long it would take.
I can't wait to see what Oneil's WPA was tonight tomorrow. Might be a record.
New Cherington Post-Deadline Bucs 0-1. Lower it.
So should I commit Jake Woodford’s name to memory? Or is he the new QP?
Blew 3-0 lead vs Dbacks, 4-0 lead tonite, twice within past week. And pulled off two come from behind wins. The evidence supports this is a .500 team.
well that sucked
taylor due up

Torso built for dancing. Similar to the problem swinging the bat Michael Jordan had. Just the wrong sport for the guy.
Please describe in detail of what a Torso built for dancing looks like...
😂
The kind that generates groundballs and doubleplays in every game!

I was not arguing his performance, I was arguing your explanation as to why. Baseball players bodies (torsos) vary greatly.

Still no evidence to support your torso statement . My last response to the thread.
Groundout by Hayes! So predictable….
Clearly the Pirates just need a team full of Bryans.
Bart is swinging the bat really good.
That was roped
Boy has this game gone sideways.
and slantways, and longways, and backways...
SLG% vs Holderman:
Pre-AS: .288
Post-AS: 1.000

Time for a phantom DL trip with short re-hab stint.

Cutch needs to hit the Crawford boxes here.
Chapman owned Dubon a game or two ago. But hard to make that move in the 6th.
