Wow, Shelton did a masterful job during this game. I'm just not sure at what point he went from standing on the dugout steps waiting to for the camera. Shelton only recognizes rookies when he has no choice. He's just another guy who was a long time baseball coach recommended by a friend.
I don’t know if I’ve already asked this question, sorry if I have, but are the coaches allow to operate the pitch com? They have always been allowed to call pitches from the dugout, wondering if the pitching coach or the game planner can do the same?
It would be crazy if we got lucky with Rivas. Even if he's a more on base type then power with above average defense. Give me a guy that gets on base 40% of the time and gets a lot of doubles with double-digit homers and it's an upgrade over what's been the norm lol.
I think a lot of it was just due to the fact he was seen as a big leaguer, just a question of how good he was actually going to be. The secondaries are strong, the fastball is just poo. Especially since he's not pumping 95-96 like earlier in his career.

I wonder how these 14 pitchers compare to Priester wrt fastball velocity…
Idk what they did to Borucki, but I'm happy with it so far
And by idk what they did, they clearly told him throw as many sliders as possible, and sprinkle in other stuff

Seen all I've needed. Extend Rivas

Even if he just beats up the Brewers, it's ok lol
He has already surpassed my expectations, it was the triple.
Our sleeper cell operative code name Bryce Wilson, has been activated.
Just how we planned it
Just how we trained him!
"Meatballs. They're delicious. Just throw meatballs"
Bryce Wilson sure does stink
Thought Triolo had one for a second.
priester is very unimpressive
how did this guy ever rank so high in prospect rankings?

this is exactly why prospects are meant to be traded for ringers
He rode those pandemic alt site scouting reports for years.
Sounds like the entire return for Taillon lol
He’s 22 years old and this is his 4th MLB start. Cut him some slack.
his age has nothing to do with the face that he throws like a girl
his calling card is inducing soft contact?
At this point in the season, the Pirates hitters have had roughly 4000 PAs
The same goes for the two best teams in the NL (Dodgers and Braves)
The two best players for the Braves (Acuña and Olson) and the Dodgers (Betts and Freeman) have combined for nearly 1000 PAs, respectively
That’s about 24% of all PAs
The two most talented players on the Pirates (Endy and Cruz) have combined for less than 90 PAs
That’s less than 2.5% of all PAs
BOOM!!! Goes Rivas!!!
Hank meant to hit the ball off the mound and off the 2B bag!
