Damn, I guess we probably have to convince Roki that him and Skenes are going to be the best one two punch ever with a good supporting cast behind them.
I actually think the Dodgers matched the Pirates or slightly out bid them.
Like you, I hope we have a hidden gem or 3 with that extra pool space or get one of the guys signed that is eligible but we were waiting on Jan. 15th to sign.
Lord knows who they're gonna run out of the pen tomorrow. Hernandez certainly. Maybe the two new guys. Bednar has to be out. Holderman would be pitching 3 of 4 days. Borucki. would be 3 in a row. Might've burned Jackson with 30 pitches.
Random note on the Bradenton game. Luis Peralta had been the Wednesday starter, but pitched tonight. Frees up rotation spot. I'd imagine one of the new kids they just brought up. Patrick Reilly is pitching now, so maybe Jaden Woods is starting?
Suwinski is now hitting .042 in the month of August with 1 hit and 11 strikeouts. He’s hitting .212 for the year and striking out 40% of the time. I know people love his occasional home runs but this is not the performance of someone who can remain a Major League Baseball player.
Rob Deer survived 11 years. Adam Dunn made an All Star squad in a year he hit .204 (with 41 bombs). Orioles carried Chris Davis for six years where he hit for squat but still bopped a few.
Marcell Ozuna got so fat lol
I'm still pissed off 12 hours later.
Damn we officially lost out on my KBO crush

I got some hope for other pitching prospects on the way, but wouldve been fun to couple him and shim and watch them ascend the minors together
I was thinking the same thing, Dodgers got him for 900,000.
Sounds like we couldve matched that, but hoping we have our eyes set on someone or multiple others instead.

John seems to be fairly plugged in on these things so hoping he will have some info soon, if not actually announcement of signings!

Should've just stuck with Jackson.
I wonder if Shelton will take some responsibility for this one or put it on the players.
At this point, i would be shocked if he doesnt put it on them

Well, that was deflating.
Sheltoned.
4 games in 5 days, especially when hes shown signs of being shaky recently is terrible. We arent playing for anything right now so why risk it
And he warmed up till "hot" on the day he didn't pitch. Ridiculous.
Ok, time to turn TV off before I destroy it....
Thers no reason he should be on the mound rn
did it again
refuses to pitch to Olsen

It's not ideal, but it's also not unheard of.
I'm not wild about bringing in Bednar here.
Imo bednar should be down tonight
Andre Who? Braves gotta be scratching their heads.
Worked late, just joining the party. Let's get some insurance!
