Gameday 115: Pirates Look To Salvage Series Split Against Braves
The Pirates fought their way back into Wednesday’s night game against the Altanta Braves but ultimately dropped their second straight and will now have to scramble to split a series they jumped out in front of originally.
Ke’Bryan Hayes hit a home run for the second consecutive games, giving him seven on the season.
Colin Selby made his major league debut, pitching 1.2 innings while striking out three batters.
Pittsburgh will send Bailey Falter to the mound for the afternoon series finale, making his second Pirates appearance. He will be opposed by All-Star Bryce Elder, who will be looking for his ninth win of the season.
Once this series is wrapped up, the Pirates will start a weekend set against the Cincinnati Reds.
