Love the fight from the guys. At least make the cubbies burn their ‘A’ bullpen guys

Tonight's game is definitely showing me that we need to bring in 2 SPs next year, probably VV and someone else respectable. 3 bullpen games a week is just not a recipe for any sort of success. We were lucky to only give up 3 through 7 on thursday

I’m nitpicking a bit, but why VV? 2nd TJ and even if effective how many innings can he provide next year....I’m asking because I’ve seen his name mentioned a few times before.

I just mentioned it because I know he said he wanted to be back, probably wouldnt be my first choice but considering he would be cheap and potentially wants to come back it might happen

I get it, when we have a bad team and a cheap owner that’s the aisle we do our shopping. The only names I can come up with is Luis Severino and Alex Woods and I have a hard time seeing them here. Maybe a trade might do it, but then again...

Could always go for Rich Hill round 2 lol

Started out as an exciting day....now I’m looking for my paper bag...

gave up too soon...don't worry, I wasn't paying attention either. Just happened to go to Twitter and saw the updates

The Palacios story was a nice one while it lasted with the occasional heroic moment, but his time with the team has to come to an end. His next strikeout will put his average below .200 and his OPS approaching something that starts with a 5. Bring up CSN or give Andujar one later shot but it is time

You jinxed everyone except him. He hit a single, that will earn him an extra week

I swear happ becomes an mvp level player every series he plays against us

I replayed Keller game with the Cubs broadcast and they said Happ basically has .900+ OPS against the Pirates. I think it was close to .930 OPS. Insane.

He's a career .248 hitter with a .793 OPS.

If you took away his stats vs Bucs, he'd be completely mediocre or less.

Good find! If anything, the real stats almost surpass the eye test in this case

Gift call there but Selby's good.

Just one run is a bit disappointing

Let this be Hayes from now on!

I like seeing Hayes hitting and pulling the ball too. I want to see him do this in April-June during meaningful games. It's just a little hollow to see in August, where was he for the first place Bucs in June?

Injured back.

Next season he really needs to stay healthy for the entire year so he can consistently hit

HAYYYYESSSS!!!

The strike zone square on the Fox broadcast is hard to see, is it like that for everyone or are they using a color I can’t see?

Line's almost transparent level thin. :/

How I wish the Cubs would trade Happ away........
