Imaginary sources out of the Yankees front office, "Losing the last series to the Pirates is way more valuable to us than potentially losing Cherington as a trade partner. We got our eye on a couple of their guy's, someone other than Ben might make us give fair value for them. Thanks Cleveland for making this a great decision!"
Not sure why they need to keep reminding everyone of the stupid and unnecessary trade for Beeks. He should have been released along with Tellez and Taylor.
If anything it shows what they're capable of talent-wise and what might be a more regular performance with a new manager. Or maybe not, but I side with finding out if a new staff can get more out of this group.
Right. If there’s any players quitting they’d by gone. Just about every one of them are competing for a roster spot next season. I can guarantee you there’s no bush league bs of quitting on Shelton.
I don’t know how much more of Greg Brown I can take. Pathetic announcing, attacking other team’s players while staying mum all season on our own boneheaded mistakes. I don’t mind him noting Soto’s mistake but he went way over the top to trash one of the best players in the game.
Brownie bags on Cruz a ton. He gets caught up on boneheaded plays by both teams and overdoes it. That said, I'd rather listen to him lose his shit over nothing than listen to Block.
Oh yeah, he's singled out Cruz, unfairly at times imo. But he usually doesn't go on and on about it, nor should he. When he was still on the Soto thing two innings later, I switched to the radio broadcast and it was fine.
LOL I'm going to win or tie the preseason prediction at Bucsdugout but they banned me for being too negative. That's *perfect*
Vegas had the Pirates at 75.5 wins. Hopefully some of you guys won some $
If they win tomorrow it’ll be two years in a row that I finish one off their win total for the season.
No more Drive for 75! Now it’s Ben Sticks at 76!

Beating the Yankees = Priceless
Saving Shelton’s job = Costly
Why would that save his job? 5 frickin years of frustration salvaged by a 3 game series against a team just going through the motions?
Disappointing season for sure, but it’s always nice to come into the cathedral and beat the Yankees.
Especially nice when you’re showing off arms like jones & Skenes.
Burrows first career win! Raise it!
First of many more, we can hope. The starting pitching is looking so good for next year.
Booyah!!! 76 in the books. Nice offensive day. Solid debut for Burrows. Series clinched!!! Raise it!!!!!
Billy cool fan club checking i
Billy Chapel did well in yankee stadium

My thought exactly. What in the hell is the purpose of Jalen Beeks? Just awful.
He just couldn't take the pressure of playing in Pittsburgh
Hopefully that was his final garbage appearance as a Pirate.
Big hit from Grandal then…….BOOOMMM/BOOOONGGGG FROM YORKE!!!
Yorke with a shot.
Gotta pencil him in on 26-man. Maybe even permanent marker. Kid can hit.
Gonzales and Yorke have shown enough for me to think they start next year as starters, but who moves off of second?
Making the game safe for a Joey Wentz appearance?
Wentz has been on fire for us
bucco bombers!
New Yorke
His walk up music should be Empire State of Mind.
Yorke town cannonball!
You gotta sell it to Brown. Any reference to Hamilton is a winner.
Golden Sombrero for Mr. Judge.
Any special,term for a 5K in 5:AB day?
Platinum Sombrero
So much for the players quitting on Shelton.
Oh yeah, because they can get up for a series in Yankees Stadium that shows that Shelton is able to get the most out of them!
This is the Big Apple effect, wouldn't give any credit to Shelton imo.

I was going to say. Brownie was all over Cruz the other day. I think TN just hears what he wants
I'm really enjoying the Yankees broadcast on MLB Channel. Paul O'Neil is good color guy. And the longtime play by play guy.
