Gameday 46: Carmen Mlodzinski looks to build off recent start
Carmen Mlodzinski vs Zack Wheeler
The Pirates’ bullpen blew a late lead, securing the team’s 30th loss of the season. They join the Colorado Rockies and the Chicago White Sox as the only teams with that many losses.
Alexander Canario continued his hitting streak, blasting a three-run home run. But the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead late.
They will have Carmen Mlodzinski on the mound, trying to even the series. He’s coming off a start against the Braves, where he pitched 5.2 innings of shutout baseball, striking out two.
The Phillies will have Zack Wheeler on the mound, with a first pitch scheduled for 6:05 pm ET.

Just saw KG line a single straight up the middle. Pitcher threw up his hands and bailed over backwards like it was an RPG.
KG got to third, then with the IF in and a grounder to SS, he beat the throw home. Maybe the contact play will work with him.
