Gameday 47: Paul Skenes pitches as Pirates try to avoid a sweep

Carmen Mlodzinski couldn’t build off his previous start, allowing four earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched. Bryan Reynolds hit a home run in the ninth inning to keep the Pirates from getting shut out.
The Pirates generated just four hits, half of which came from Reynolds.
Paul Skenes will make his 10th start of the season on Sunday. He will face Mick Abel, who will be making his major league debut. He has a 5-2 record in eight starts for Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 pm ET.
