The much-maligned NL Central is 22-10.

Nice bounce back performance today to win the series. Standing ovation for Perez, Chapman, Bednar, Reynolds, Tellez, and Joe.

6-1 just as I'd predicted.😐 Good teams beat up on bad teams, and that's what the Bucs did. Tough road ahead and I expect to see the team be competitive but come down to earth in the next couple of series. That's ok. We're not a finished product. Stay competitive and hope some of the young reinforcements can strengthen this pitching staff. 🙂

161-1 confirmed

This is irresponsible commenting.

At least be realistic. Between the Dodgers and Braves games Bucs will drop 2 or 3 games. Maybe Dbacks steal a win. You tack on some dumb luck from the other teams and you’re looking at something more like 150-12.

Good job feasting on weak teams. Now let's see how they handle against the O's, Tigs, Phillies and Mets. See whether this is just significant improvement or something potentially special.

We're going to miss Burnes. That's a huge break. The O's will be a great test, really looking forward to it.

I'm just glad the Pirates have reached the point that this is a test rather than a guaranteed beating.

Deploying Chapman and the Bednar feels like a cheat code. It must be, because even Sheltie looked good with it.

Bednar was filthy that inning

Bednar looked good. Had all his pitches working.

Davis has been very disappointing at the plate. It’s early but with last year and now this start I’m a tad worried.

It's hard for catchers to learn everything all at once. His improvement as a defensive catcher very likely is coming at the cost of his bat. It happens. He'll develop and get there.

Considering he has has only 67 total MLB games so far, he will improve with time. Bummer that it came at the expense of Endy’s injury. But this should give the Bucs a very solid Catching tandem for several years.

In the long run, it's a blessing. Hank gets more time, and it happens in a period when it is unlikely to endanger a deep playoff run. Optimally, both guys hit well enough that they're rotating them to DH just to keep them in the lineup on catcher rest days.

Hey! Whatta mean no deal playoff run this year?!? Buccos are goin all the way, all the way, the Buccos are going all the way this year!!

It's baseball so you never really know. That said, I've had the competitive window opening in 2025 as my number for a while.

Maybe Hank should ditch all those accessories he got on
