Overview
Adams pitched two years for two different junior colleges. He went to Florida State in 2024, but had Tommy John surgery and never pitched there. He has very good stuff, in fact the Pirates state that he’s reached triple digits, but he also has control problems. In 2022 at Indian River CC, pitching mainly as a reliever, he gave up 18 hits and 19 walks in 26.1 IP, with 44 strikeouts. He also had a lot of control problems the previous year. Adams signed for $72,000 under the slot amount.

Obviously, Adams won’t be available to pitch until 2025, but so far that’s worked for Hunter Barco.
