I dont know what it takes to improve fastball shape, but since this seems to be such an org-wide deficit, you would think they bring someone in who knows how to work the problem and all of a sudden 5-10 guys have their biggest problem improved
Ben hasn’t impressed me much. Not one impact player has come up thru the system. Cruz MAY be, but that remains to be seen. Keller has pitched better, but they need MORE guys who can do it at the MLB level.
And what I keep coming back to is, this current crop of hitters promoted need to reach expectations, or the team is kind of screwed. Triple-A is mostly prospects and outside acquisitions who haven't performed in MLB. Double-A and High-A are full of repeaters who still aren't really progressing.
Pitching prospects and depth has some promising signs, but as we consistently learn, they NEED that depth themselves. Otherwise they'll thin that area out if they begin exploring trade options using pitching depth as assets.
If they decide to keep Davis in RF, think the OF is mostly set though. Reynolds signed long term. Suwinski to some capacity and Davis. So don't need too much in terms of depth. Maybe a natural center fielder to split time with Suwinski, and they can probably piece that together.

We have Cheng at AA and then nothing until Bradenton. If the young guns like Endy, Davis, Gonzales, Triolo, et al underperform, Ben may have to go.
We have ZERO outfielders who have promise. We have a bunch of AAAA players like Andujar, Mitchell and CSN.
And yet BC decided to draft wild college pitchers over any outfielders.

That is an excellent point. Now, if only that outfield would start hitting consistently.
