Overview
Paulino signed as an athletic infielder with a good chance to play short, but so far he’s played mostly at third. He has good speed and, like a lot of young international signees, needs to get stronger.
2022-23
Paulino played third in the DSL in 2022 and had error problems, with an .843 fielding percentage. At the plate, he drew walks but had trouble making contact, striking out in over a third of his ABs. He went back to the DSL in 2023 and split his time between second and third. He got only half the playing time as he did in 2022, which may say something. His hitting otherwise didn’t change much.
