Overview
Linares is a lefty with good size and some projectibility. He threw 86-88 mph when he signed and was up to 92 afterward. He has a change and curve, and average control.
2023-24
Linares got hit around some in his debut season in the DSL. Opponents batted .311 against him, although he was killed by a .450 BABIP. He also walked 5.2 per nine innings. He did strike out 11.7. Back in the DSL in 2024, he limited opponents to a .200 average and .252 slugging, helping him to a 2.90 ERA. His walk rate was still 5.5 per nine and he struck out fewer.
