Overview
Bissonette was a four-year starter at Baylor. He didn’t put up big offensive numbers. He had an OPS of .678 and .692 as a freshman and sophomore. His best year came as a junior, when he hit 269/374/440. His power fell off as a senior, as he hit 273/358/404, for some of the weaker numbers on the team. He attempted only one steal, so he doesn’t seem to be a speedster. He signed quickly and, early on, moved into an organizational utility role.
2019-23
Bissonette was the regular second baseman at Bristol in 2019. He had a solid season at the plate, with good plate discipline and a .699 OPS. Defensively, he was very steady, committing only one error in 45 starts at second.
After the pandemic season, the Pirates jumped Bissonette all the way up to Altoona, where he spent the season as a utility player. He played mostly third, but spent a little time at second and short. He managed only a .588 OPS, but that’s not surprising, considering the jump.
In 2022-23, Bissonette served in a utility role at the upper levels, mostly at Indianapolis. He mostly played third, but he also saw time at second and short, and a little in left. He didn’t hit much, although his plate discipline was good and he had a good walk rate.
