Overview
Joseph was throwing 87-91 when the Pirates signed him and he still figured to have projection left. He also throws a curve and change.
2020-23
After missing 2020, Joseph saw only limited time in ten relief appearances in the DSL in 2021. He didn’t give up many hits but he walked 8.2 per nine innings. In 2022, he started five games and made progress both with his control and his K rate. He did, however, get hit more. In 2023, still pitching in relief, Joseph allowed only 11 hits in 23.2 IP, although he walked 18. He fanned 30.
