Just to throw this out there --
In all honesty, I haven't the faintest idea whether Griffin is better than Rainer or Montgomery or whoever. Maybe the scouts know, although I doubt it. Longenhagen said there was no real difference among the guys in this top tier.
I just wanted them, first, to take a hitter and, second, not to go outside the top tier, like with Tibbs. They did that, so I just want to see Griffin on the field now.
FWIW:
Q: I like Konnor Griffin a lot but I am nervous because the Pirates have not done a great job with hitters and Griffin needs some work.
