William Schmidt(Louisiana), Chase Mobley (Fla), and Anson Seibert(Kansas) are my favorite HS arms in this years draft. Although Marsten looks really good and I do prefer Rainer on the mound.

Ryan Sloan and TGA are also a couple of my favorites but who doesn’t like them? They are everyone’s favorites!!

Jackson Barberi(GA) is a name I’d watch that the Pirates might target(like Kennedy/Mueth) and throw a good bit of money at. He’s 17 at draft time, lower slot, projectable RHP with present stuff and a budding CH.

I think I'd be going college bats for 3 of the first 4 picks.

Badly need to hit on some college bats to make up for the absolute dearth of hitters we have other than termarr

Depends on which college bat.

I know my answer is a “no shit” answer. But Tanks and Jac are college bats I’m awfully leery of. If they’re around at 9, I’m not sure that’s who I want.

I'm with ya, although Jac has shown much better plate discipline so far, 7 walks 3 strikeouts in 30 some at bats (it's early). As much as I like White, he wouldn't be in my top 10, probably not top 15.

I'd be ok with that. Gotta sneak that prep pitcher in there though

I'd like them to grab 3 or 4 prep players. A pitcher in the comp A round through round 4, maybe a prep bat in the same range. Example Shields and JD Dix.

Then an arm and maybe a bat later like Tague Davis.

I really hope they scout the local high schools and find an easy sign in round 12 or later. Makes more sense than another AJ Graham.

1st pick best available (Montgomery)

1A leaning Jared Thomas CF/1st Base Texas

Round 2 Ethan Anderson C/1st Base Virginia

Round 3 Prep Arm maybe Prep Bat

Round 4 best available they can sign.

I can get behind Ethan Anderson. Have seen a couple UVA games and like what I've seen. Looking forward to seeing him in person.

I'm still ok with Montgomery as of right now. Maybe even Honeycutt to get an actual CF. Cam Smith has really been growing on me, but he's not really an option unless he moves to RF. Guess he could play first.

I had Ethan as my comp A pick for awhile but Thomas is really growing on me. I actually think he'll jump up to a top 20 pick (maybe even higher). He plays a pretty good center field and excellent 1st base. He kinda fits the profile of some of our previous picks (high contact, little power) but I think he's just starting to get to his raw power.

I need to watch more of Cam Smith. Honeycutt is looking a lot like his freshman year, if he cuts down the swing and miss, he'll be gone before we pick.

There isn't a huge difference from picks 5 through 20 this year so we should get a solid addition.

Charlie Condon is having an insane start to the season.

I have some video on Cam Smith I'm going to use for an article later this season. I love his approach. Been spraying stuff the other way all season. Then can turn on a pitch on inner half and launch it out.

Yea what Condon is doing, he'll be long gone by 1.9, but will be interested to see how he does once SEC play starts.

That's awesome, don't know why but I haven't watched any Florida State games yet. Definitely check out Thomas from Texas, he has a great approach at the plate and I think he can handle all 3 OF positions and play an excellent first if needed. He's only hit 1 homerun that I've seen but has been a doubles machine and usually steals 2nd when it's open.

"older". One of those key words I've paid less and less attention to over time lol
