So, of the four finalists, half are just two years removed from losing over 100 games. So how'd they improve so much faster than the Pirates, aside from not being burdened with Ben Cherington? Lessee . . .
Arizona -- $121.4M
Texas -- $223M
Boba the Nutt -- $79.3M
Nothing about the necessity for a rebuild made the Cherington clown show necessary.
It will be interesting to see how Rob Thomson handles Suarez tonight if he starts out like he did in game one. Strider is probably going to be as tough as he was in game one. I was hoping for a Phillies/O's WS but I'll settle for the Phillies beating either Texas team.
Except for Evan Carter, the guy who I think has been the biggest revelation this post-season is Suarez. The Phillies don't win that series without his 2 brilliant games. According to statcast, his curve is rather pedestrian in movement. However, it looks nasty and despite not having great movement metrics is one of the best curves in baseball based on run value. The Braves were flailing helplessly at that thing or watching it.
I think the Phillies wrap it up. Bryce Harper pretty much settled that yesterday. Think that’s their rallying point, win tonight, beat the Dbacks and head back to the WS

Termarr Johnson's swing will end up looking a lot like Bryce Harper's.
His swing AND his swag!

My predictions have continued to be pretty ass: Phils win 7-5
