I've talked to Anthony a few times about all of the AFL games seeming to just drag on this year, when we had some really fast games since the pitch clock was first used in the league. Last night's game was flying through and I almost wrote him in the eighth inning to mention how quick it is going, but said to myself that I'll just mention it when I let him know the recap was done. Then the ninth inning took about 40 minutes to finish and there was zero Pirates content in the inning. I had 99% of the recap done at the end of the eighth inning. Just needed the final score and updated records.

So my question to everyone is can you just think jinx a game?

Also, just putting this out there, but I'd bet money on tonight's AFL game taking four hours! I hope I'm not wrong and look foolish by saying that, then they only play for 2:30. I would look sooo foolish if that happened...

Based on experience, you can definitely think-jinx a game :)

It was awful because Scottsdale was leading going into the ninth, so it could have ended within five minutes. If you ever watch on Gameday, the longest time period in the world is the time between "runs" being posted as the pitch result and then actually finding out what runs means. It could mean a guy scored from third base on a double play, could mean a grand slam. Yesterday, that was the three-run double in the ninth.
