Alfonzo is interesting in that he was born in Minneapolis yet first played professionally in the Dominican league. Never seen that before (although I've never looked.)

Watched Alfonzo a few times and not once did he catch, hope he gets more time there because the bat is intriguing, hopefully he gets to Altoona before the end of the season.

He caught about 30+ games at A and did very well. Definitely some nice numbers as a hitter and a nice prospect to watch. Interesting background in that he was born in Minneapolis while his father was in the minors (probably St Paul) with the Twins. Returned to Venezuela, I suppose when his father's career ended, where he was signed by the Pirates when he turned 16. I wonder if that qualifies him for dual citizenship?

Great picture - not sure I have seen many hitters with their back elbow up level with the top of their heads in the ready position.

If the pirates could just find the next guru of command (pitching intstructor/miracle worker) they'd be unstoppable.

I like the picks.
