Overview

Stumbo spent four years at Nevada as a swing man. He put up largely similar numbers each year, with an overall 6.20 ERA, and a 1.63 WHIP, 3.8 BB/9 and 7.7 K/9.

2023

Stumbo got into five FCL games after signing. In 6.1 IP, he gave up four hits and didn’t walk anybody. He spent 2024 in the Bradenton bullpen, apart from a few opener-type starts. In the first two months, Stumbo had a 2.96 ERA, but he got hit hard after that, with a 5.82 mark the rest of the way. For the season he had good walk and K rates, 3.5 and 10.1 per nine innings, respectively. He got hit fairly hard, though, and had some trouble with gopher balls. Opponents had a .442 slugging average against him, nearly 100 points above league average.
